Nominal Voltage
The designated voltage of a power system or equipment, used as a reference value for the system's operating voltage.
Common nominal voltages for transformer primaries: 11 kV, 22 kV, 33 kV, 66 kV, 132 kV, 220 kV, 400 kV. For secondaries: 0.4 kV (415V), 11 kV, 33 kV. The actual operating voltage typically varies ±5% to ±10% from nominal, which is compensated by tap changers.
