    Pakistan's transmission grid is operated by the National Transmission & Despatch Company (NTDC) with 10 regional distribution companies (DISCOs) — including IESCO (Islamabad), LESCO (Lahore), MEPCO (Multan) and PESCO (Peshawar) — plus K-Electric operating an integrated utility in the Karachi region. The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) governs tariffs and technical standards. Voltage levels are 11/33 kV at MV and 132/220/500 kV at transmission, with active 500 kV HVDC links from the Matiari–Lahore corridor enabling Thar coal-power evacuation.
